How to improve the growth of your business…
Improving growth is easy if you’re in the horticultural game… It’s simply a case of sun and water. This year’s Chelsea Flower Show had a lot of the former over its first few days. Unfortunately for us, yesterday they had a lot of the latter too. Typically that was the day that Julie and I choose to head over there. We’d expected a pleasant afternoon of plants and Pims but instead ended up drenched. Lucky for us, the champagne tent was under cover otherwise things could have been a lot... Read The Rest →
Football and technology. When will they learn…
Being an avid 5Live listener, I have heard countless pub pundits call in and give their view on the subject of technology in football – usually after their teams have been robbed of three points. Football has had a serious problem with change in the last few decades. This has been brought into sharp reality over recent years with the row over ‘goal line technology’. Now, I am totally behind the idea of technology in sport, and there are countless instances where it would be beneficial for football. But I... Read The Rest →
Premiere league event organisation
I went to the Premiere of Gnomeo and Juliet on Sunday with my children. Yes, in part I’m bragging but there is also a serious point to mentioning it. Through the fog of denial emerged an idea to challenge ourselves in some way. After a couple of weeks of batting around ideas we settled on what we are calling ‘30B430’. The idea is that we had to take part in 30 events before the youngest of us turns the big twenty ten (giving us around... Read The Rest →

The morning after the night before…
Why do we do it to ourselves… We had a great birthday party at So Bar last night but we’re feeling the effects today. We’ve all been doing some serious carb-loading and fluids (of the non-alcoholic variety) are being consumed by the bucket load. Remind me never to mix Mojito’s, neat Tequila and lager again… Thanks to everyone who came down to celebrate with us. You really helped our birthday go with a bang. Apt considering the date… Share → Tweet
